What truly sets Nam Phuong apart is its commitment to authenticity. There’s a certain charm in the restaurant's casual vibe, which, combined with its hearty portions, makes it a perfect spot for both quick bites and leisurely meals with friends. However, it typically gets busy, especially on Sunday nights, so a short wait might be in store, as noted by Eavan Stamps. Yet, as they say, great things come to those who wait, and the delicious Thai tea and rich pho are worth it.
If you're looking for a more leisurely dining experience, consider visiting during the week when the ambiance is a bit quieter. Shreya R mentioned how the well-loved menu paired with the early 2000s-style decor created a comforting environment, perfect for indulging in the extensive selection of dishes that cater to a variety of tastes and preferences.
The only drawback might be the parking situation, as highlighted by customers who found the lot somewhat cramped. However, this minor inconvenience pales in comparison to the culinary delights awaiting you inside. Overall, Nam Phuong Buford Highway deserves its reputation as a top destination for Vietnamese cuisine in Atlanta. So gather your friends, bring your appetite, and prepare for a delightful journey through the flavors of Vietnam.

“ Our server was very kind, and the food was delicious! My partner said this was her first time eating Pho without adding anything to the broth! I ordered the beef stew with egg noodles, very flavorful! ”
“ Nam Phương Restaurant is truly a hidden gem! The food is authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish tasted fresh and delicious, especially the you can insert your favorite dish here The staff were so welcoming and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a place I’ll come back to again and again. Highly recommend to anyone who loves great Vietnamese food! ”
“ Really busy on Sunday nights, but there is so much room that the wait is only 10-15 minutes for a group of 4 or less. Lots of tables and people, meaning it is very loud in there. Not a bad thing but if you want a peaceful dinner try going on a weekday. The Pho and Thai tea was fantastic! ”
“ This restaurant exceeded my expectations with the incredible food, kind and attentive service, and overall experience. Walking in to a dining room packed with patrons and a line out the door made it clear this place is a local favorite. The well-loved menus paired with the early 2000s-style decor made the interior feel comforting and welcoming. The food came in large portions, and I ordered the #110 upon seeing the photo in the menu. It was absolutely delicious, and I will be returning to try more of their items as well. If there’s anything to keep in mind: (1) There may be a bit of a wait to be attended to because of how many other customers there inherently are, and (2) parking will be difficult because the spots are all taken - just goes to show how popular this place is! No wonder this place is Michelin-recommended - I would emphatically agree with this assessment! ”
“ Great Vietnamese place on Buford highway serving pho and a variety of other vegetable and noodle dishes. Been going here for years and is a top comfort food for Sat or Sun mornings. ”
